Kiana T. Talton
Associate
Kiana Talton concentrates her law practice in the area of civil litigation, with a primary focus on insurance law, workers compensation, and government liability defense. Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Talton graduated from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, where she was recognized as a Georgia Scholar.
While in law school, she achieved the distinction of being a published member of the Mercer Law Review. She was on the executive board of the Mercer Advocacy Council, where she served as the chair of the Client Counseling Team, which garnered national recognition.
Additionally, she served on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association as the Academic Chair. Mrs. Talton was also a member of Phi Delta Phi Honors Society, the Association of Women Law Students, and a group mentor for Wills, Trusts, and Estates. During her tenure in law school, Mrs. Talton worked as a law clerk for a personal injury firm, where she assisted in trial preparation for medical malpractice cases and successfully wrote briefs in favor of summary judgment in government liability actions. Upon graduation, Mrs. Talton was awarded the Outstanding Solicitor Award, recognized for completion of the Advance Legal Writing Certificate Program, and admitted into the State Bar of Georgia
Originally from Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Talton received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Valdosta State University. She and her husband, Trent, attend the Lizella Pentecostal Church and enjoy spending time at home with their dog, Marley.
